World Youth Forum 2026 brings innovation to youth events through sport and leadership in Miramar

The second day of the World Youth Forum – Special World Cup 2026, held on April 16, 2026, delivered one of the most dynamic and memorable moments of the entire international gathering.
Demonstrating a fresh and innovative model for youth engagement, the Youth Institute USA introduced a unique concept that combines conferences, leadership dialogue, and practical sport activities creating a more immersive and action-oriented experience for young participants.
A symbolic gala match at Ansin Sports Complex
Hosted at the Ansin Sports Complex, the highlight of the day was a symbolic gala football match that brought together two community-based teams in a spirit of friendship, diversity, and international unity.
The match featured :
- Island United representing the host nations of the FIFA World Cup 2026: the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade representing the Rest of the World.
This symbolic format reflected the global spirit of the upcoming FIFA World Cup while celebrating youth inclusion and multicultural cooperation.
Opening ceremony and distinguished leadership
The ceremonial kickoff was officially given by Gabriel MVOGO SAINT, President of Youth Institute USA, who reaffirmed the importance of sport as a tool for peace, discipline, teamwork, and international understanding.
The day’s activities were coordinated under the leadership of:
- Widline Daniel, Forum Coordinator
- Jeffrey Nicolas, Special Representative of Island United
Their leadership ensured a smooth, energetic, and inspiring sporting experience for all participants.
Strong institutional support from the City of Miramar
The event took place under robust security and operational oversight provided by the City of Miramar, with the presence of:
- Miramar Police Department
- Fire rescue services
- Medical emergency teams
These resources were mobilized through the support of Wayne Messam, Mayor of Miramar, whose commitment once again demonstrated the City’s exceptional support for the Forum.
Victory, Fair Play, and recognition
After an exciting and friendly contest, Island United emerged victorious.
All participating players were congratulated by Maurisia Jeffers, Secretary General of Youth Institute USA, in recognition of their sportsmanship and commitment.
Gabriel MVOGO SAINT then presented the official Youth Institute Fair Play Medals to all players, celebrating respect, unity, and leadership through sport.
The winning team was awarded the championship trophy along with one of the official FIFA World Cup 2026 match balls for the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
