Plantation, Florida – USA – August 10, 2026 – The President of the International Youth Institute (Youth Institute – USA), Mr. Gabriel MVOGO SAINT, announced today, Monday, August 10, 2026, the appointment of Director Florian Fimbel as Director General of the Youth Institute.

The appointment represents an important new milestone in the organization’s institutional development and international expansion, as the Youth Institute continues to strengthen its programs dedicated to youth leadership, international cooperation, civic engagement, and the participation of young people in major global issues.

A New Leadership Role for the Development of the Youth Institute

As Director General, Director Florian Fimbel will be responsible for overseeing the Youth Institute’s operational management and strategic development, under the authority of the President. His responsibilities will include supporting the implementation of the organization’s development strategy, coordinating its programs and activities, strengthening institutional and nonprofit partnerships, and supporting the expansion of the Youth Institute’s initiatives in United State ; Europe and internationally.

Director Florian Fimbel will also represent the Youth Institute in engagements with institutional and strategic partners and will contribute to developing new collaborations with public institutions, universities, private-sector organizations, foundations, youth organizations, and international institutions. His role will also include contributing to the professionalization of the organization, strengthening its operational capacity, and supporting the development of its teams, programs, and international network.

This position comes at a strategic time for the Youth Institute, as the organization seeks to accelerate its international development and strengthen its presence at major global initiatives focused on youth, leadership, international cooperation, and civic engagement.

The YOUTH INSTITUTE Expectations

By appointing Director Florian Fimbel to this position, President Gabriel MVOGO SAINT is placing particular emphasis on his institutional, nonprofit, civic, and international experience.

The Youth Institute expects the new Director General to help translate the Youth Institute’s vision and ambitions into concrete programs, partnerships, and measurable results, while contributing to the expansion of its international network. Director Florian Fimbel will be expected to identify new opportunities for cooperation, strengthen relationships with existing partners, and develop initiatives capable of bringing together young leaders, governments, universities, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and civil society stakeholders.

His mandate will also focus on helping establish the Youth Institute as an increasingly recognized international platform for youth leadership and global cooperation, creating meaningful connections between young leaders and institutions across continents. The Youth Institute also intends for the Director General to play a central role in the preparation and implementation of the Youth Institute’s upcoming international programs and initiatives.

A Background at the intersection of Public Service, Civic Engagement, and International Affairs

Born in Toulon, France, in 1991, Director Florian Fimbel has developed a diverse professional and civic career at the intersection of public service, political engagement, nonprofit leadership, and international affairs.

A graduate of Sciences Po with a Master’s degree, he began his professional career in the institutional sector, including experience at the French National Assembly, before serving as Chief of Staff at the City Hall of Carqueiranne (France). His career subsequently expanded into the nonprofit sector. He served as Deputy Director of AFL Transition, one of the leading organizations supporting women who have experienced violence in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France.

Director Florian Fimbel has also maintained a strong commitment to civic and political engagement. He was a candidate in the 2022 and 2024 French legislative elections, as well as in the 2026 municipal elections.

He is also the founder of several civic movements, including F.R.A.N.C.E., Construisons Notre Bonheur, and Ynitions.

International Experience Focused on Youth Leadership

Director Florian Fimbel also brings significant international experience in the field of youth leadership.

Bilingual in French and English, he has represented France at approximately 15 international youth forums, giving him extensive exposure to international youth networks, intercultural dialogue, leadership development, and global cooperation.

In 2024, he also contributed to the organization of the Universal Women Leadership Forum, held at the European Parliament in Strasbourg and organized by the European Cooperation System (SEC).

This international experience represents a significant asset for his new responsibilities at the Youth Institute, whose mission is centered on creating bridges between young leaders and institutional, economic, academic, and civil society stakeholders around the world.

A New Chapter for the International Youth Institute

The appointment of Director Florian Fimbel comes as the International Youth Institute continues to expand its activities and international partnerships.

Following the successful organization of the second edition of the World Youth Forum in Miramar, Florida, in April 2026, the Youth Institute is preparing to further develop international programs dedicated to youth leadership, civic engagement, global cooperation, and international dialogue.
